I say that I and the said Lewis Anstruther Hope were both born in India and that I verily believe the said Lewis Anstruther Hope was born on or about the 4th November 1855. That we are Children of Archibald Hugh Hope now in India and that my Father is the Colonel of the 5th Regiment of Madras Cavalry and that my Mother is resident at Versailles - France.
